Sleeping in the hay

Sleepy sleepy Jesus

Oh sleep the night away

Sleeping in the morning

Sleeping late at night

Sleeping with the curtains drawn

And with his eyes shut tight

Jesus is asleep

Oh won’t you all please keep it down

Because Jesus is trying to sleep

Sleeping peacefully

Sleeping when the TV’s on

And when I sing off key

Jesus in his manger snoring gently

What a lovely sleeping thing

Our lord and saviour be

Won’t you please pipe down
